For those that follow me on TikTok & YouTube, no doubt you've noticed my passion project this fall; turning my childhood miniature general store into a tiny seashell shop.
Over the past few months, I've carefully repainted the awning and exterior, added a little mural on the side of the shop, and repainted furniture that now displays bowls of mini shells I've found right here on our local beach in Atlantic Highlands.
You'll also notice a miniature cash register with cash peeking out, a display case filled with tiny conch shells I've collected in Florida and New Jersey, and super adorable sea glass Christmas trees in the front window for the holiday season.
I've had a wonderful time posting all my little #minishellshop DIYs on my social channels. And now that the holiday season is here, I've displayed my Mini Shell Shop in our dining area within a little miniature holiday wonderland that includes a barista cart from Five Below, and a jolly red, plastic boat that my son and I found washed up on the beach one day on Belmar Beach last year.
You might also notice the tiny shell themed wall art in my shell shop, which I now offer as a printable for your own dollhouse, (just in case you're into tiny, coastal DIY sorts of things).
And lastly, the adorable owner situated behind the counter is a nod to my last online arts business 'Linzer Lane'. I previously sold wooden dolls and books created in the likeness of my made-up characters - one of those being Roy the Tabby Cat - who quite literally was a seashell shop owner!
